Go for the centre part of the canvas first. Now, all you need to do is play with glue. Take glue and try to cover the whole canvas. Here, you have to keep in mind that you do not need to take too much glue at a time.
Take glue little by little to cover the canvas. Using all the glue at once might make the whole situation messy. Also, while using the glue, try to use a brush that can keep the extra glue aside and only work with the amount you need.
While selecting the glue, never settle for the fast-drying glues. The reason behind this is if you have attached the diamond art and suddenly you want to move the position a little, the fast-drying glue will never give you that option. So, paying safe, you have to settle for the glue that doesn’t dry fast.
Step 3: Set the Diamond Art
Now, slowly, you have to take your diamond painting art and place the art on the canvas. You have to take care of the centre part. In this case, you have to lay the art over the top part of the canvas and then slowly bring it down to the eyeball centre.
Step 4: Slide it around
Here, you always have to remind yourself then the whole process must be done within minutes. You cannot just wait long enough to let the glue stuck as you will never be able to work with the canvas if something like this happens.
After letting it settle in the middle a little, press the edges of the art properly. You have to do is fast and before the glue is dried. Now, you have to be faster than before in moving the art a little. You cannot expect that you have placed the art in the right position for the first time.
And so, you have to work till it’s in its right position. So till then, keep moving and sliding the art and position it in its place.
Step 5: Bayer Front and Back
So, now, the art is in the right place. Now take the brayer and all you to do is push your diamond art into the glue and the canvas slowly. After doing this, you have to turn it over as you will need to brayer the back part of it too! You have to brayer the back part properly now.
Step 6: Trim it down
Now, take a cutting mat and put your canvas with the diamond art on it upside down. You must be tricky enough to trim the edges of your art properly in this situation. In this case, you have to ensure that the trims of the art stick out more or less 2 to 2.5 inches from the edges of the canvas.
Step 7: Prep for Wrapping
Now that you are down with trimming the edges, you have to emphasize the wrapping. Wrapping around the canvas is one of the trickiest parts. However, if you are careful enough, you can do this very easily! For this, you will need a ruler.
Take the ruler against your diamond canvas first. Now, take a craft knife and with the help of that, start cutting from the edges of the canvas. This process must be done to the outer edge of the art. All you have to do is use this method on every side of the canvas and take out the rectangle from all the corners of the canvas. There will be in total four corners now!
Step 8: Wrap and Seal
Now, you have to start the wrapping process. All you have to do is tightly pull up the edges first. The diamond art must be tightly pulled up to the edges so that the wrapping is neat. In this situation, you have to ensure that the staples must go through the frame of the diamond canvas.
Some people are confused about how to frame 5d diamond painting. Sealing is a very essential process in this diamond painting framing. Make sure you do it in the right method.
Step 9: Stapling
People make mistakes regarding they think that the staples will go through the canvas itself. However, here, the staples will go through the frame of the canvas.
On every side, go for five staples. Here, it will be easier for you if you start in the middle and then go through the ends.
